Air Jordan MTM Collection

Jordan Brand presents the latest chapter of a year long celebration of its 30th anniversary, the MTM pack. The world’s first MTM collection, draws upon the incredible combined talent of Michael Jordan, Mark Parker and Tinker Hatfield, honors and explores the shoe’s 30-year heritage while reinventing it for the present.

The two-pair MTM pack includes an Air Jordan XX9 — the latest and most innovative in the Jordan line — and a new version of its 30-year-old predecessor, the original Air Jordan I. Cleverly the two models shed and share their fabrications, swapping the shoe’s original leather upper and instead adopting black-and-grey Flyweave. This forward-looking technology updates the Air Jordan I with a lightweight, one-piece construction and pattern work that’s impossible with leather, while preserving the distinctive markings that defined the original Air Jordan I. 

The Air Jordan XX9 in the MTM pack trades in its Flyweave upper for classic rich black leather. One-piece leather construction transforms the exterior, with the FlightPlate technology and its distinctive outsole the only hints at the high-fidelity performance within. The MTM Air Jordan XX9 embodies the Jordan mission of providing premium performance solutions for the world’s most dynamic athletes making for the ultimate Jordans to date. The two-pair MTM pack will be available exclusively at the Nike Lab P75 starting June 13 and select Jordan retailers on June 27.

Jordan Flight Runner 2

This brings back fond memories of the iconic Jordan Trunner. Launching in February, the Jordan Flight Runner 2 support the day-in, day-out commitment to training with the ultimate conditioning shoe that includes cushioned support and multidirectional flexibility.

While running is typically linear, Jordan Brand athletes know that running is only one element of conditioning. The multidirectional flexibility of the Jordan Flight Runner 2 prepares athletes for any kind of workout, including running, sprints and distance, but is equally supportive for building multidirectional athleticism. The Flight Flex midsole pattern is created to provide excellent cushioning and support while also allowing flex in all directions, bringing a more natural feeling to the versatile shoe.

The Jordan Flight Runner 2 will be available at select retail stores and Jordan.com beginning in February.

The Jordan Melo M11

Carmelo Anthony today introduced his latest signature shoe with Jordan Brand; the Jordan Melo M11. Building on last year’s model, the Jordan Melo M11 echoes Melo’s physical transformation through the offseason. After a summer dedicated to intense workouts — Melo was known for hosting some of the game’s best runs at Jordan Brand’s Terminal 23 in New York — he returned slimmer, fitter and ready to push even harder this season.

With 12 standout NBA seasons under his belt, and 11 models of his signature shoe, Melo is also the Jordan Brand’s most tenured signature athlete. Throughout these years the Jordan Brand design team has worked closely with Melo to create signature models that echo the evolution of his personality and playing style. Melo's insight for this years model was to bring forth a more sophisticated look that is well suited to a clean color palette, but that could use hues and patterns to tell vivid stories. Each colour iteration touches on narrative and themes drawn from Melo's life; from his beginnings in Red Hook, to the concrete courts of the city that never sleeps, with each colourway representing an authentic touchstone of Melo's past, present and future.

LeBron James – Together

Nike Basketball launches a new film entitled “Together,” which celebrates the pride and emotion of LeBron James’s return to Cleveland. One team. One city. One goal.

Nike Basketball partnered with storied Advertising Agency Wieden + Kennedy & director(s) the Malloy Brothers to create the clip that places focus on the rekindled connection with Cleveland citizens as they join James and his teammates as they huddle before the opening night tip-off. The film will air live during the national TV broadcast of the Cleveland game on Oct 30. The campaign will continue to run on air across national entertainment and sports networks through November. The LEBRON 12 HRT OF A LION debuts in stores today in tandem with James’s on-court return to his hometown team. The LEBRON 12 is also ready for custom design at NIKEiD.

Numerous people near and dear to James make cameo appearances in the campaign, including his mom, Gloria Marie James; Coach Dru Joyce; and kids from the LeBron James Family Foundation. In addition, teammates Kyrie Irving, Dion Waters, Anderson Varejao, Shawn Marion, Tristan Thompson, Matthew Dellavedova and Joe Harris also make cameos.

In addition to the film, the highly anticipated 10-story banner welcoming James back to Cleveland will be gradually unveiled on Thursday. The 25,000 square foot installation located on the Ontario Street will take more than nine hours to uncover, with the full image revealed pre-game. In the banner, James literally represents Cleveland on his back.

The LEBRON 12 is designed to enhance James’s explosiveness while combining three key benefits: superior cushioning, harnessed support and natural flexibility. Nike's Sport Research Lab provides the Nike Basketball design team with in-depth analysis on athletic performance and scientific testing. This science-led insight for the LEBRON 12 was born in this lab, where data and analysis substantiated the need for next-generation cushioning, support and flexibility. Tooled with five visible, hexagonally-shaped Nike Zoom Air units in the outsole, a lightweight and breathable Megafuse upper that is wrapped with Hyperposite wings and locked down with Dynamic Flywire cables.

The lead colorway, the LEBRON 12 NSRL, was inspired by the new shoe’s genesis in this lab. The LEBRON 12 will be available globally on Nike.com, for customization on NIKEiD as well as select retail locations.

Andre Agassi x Air Tech Challenge II

In 1988, 18-year-old Andre Agassi joined the Nike family, bringing with him prodigious talent and unique charisma. Those intangibles, plus the contribution of legendary sneaker designer Tinker Hatfield, would reignite the sport of tennis and inspire some of the most memorable tennis shoes of all time, including the Nike Air Tech Challenge II.

I began my childhood love for tennis that summer and on a trip to Palm Beach I donned Agassi's stone washed tennis shorts, with built in neon compression shorts, paint splattered polo and sneakers at the infamous The Breakers. A fashion rebellion in a resort steeped with tradition, my youthful exhibit caused a stir on those courts.

Galvanized by Agassi’s forthright aesthetic and style of play, the Air Tech Challenge II’s bold colors sent shockwaves through a world dominated by nondescript low-tops.

Nike pays homage to a seminal era in sport history when the tennis great Andre Agassi dominated the courts of Melbourne in the Air Tech Challenge II. A revamp of the iconic ’90s court shoe worn by “The Punisher” during countless triumphs, the sneaker now boasts bold color blocking and embroidered numerals decipherable to the most fervent tennis fans. True to its original form but revamped using the technology of today, the 2014 release of the Air Tech Challenge II takes a legendary court classic from the archives to the street for everyday wear.

To underscore Agassi’s victorious tenure at the tournament, the rear panel is embroidered with the number 1036, noting the impressive tally of career match wins Agassi accrued at Melbourne Park. The shoe's tongue is coded with the digits 95.00.01.03, representing the years in which Agassi won the tournament.

The Nike Air Tech Challenge II debuts Jan. 31 at 21 Mercer and Dover Street Market in New York.
